The proposed development consisted of providing a valuable laboratory facility to improve the detection of diseases.
The site is located in a Flood Zone 1, with a small area of overland surface water flooding
Within the car park area, which the proposed building was replacing. With the floor level set a minimum of 300mm above ground level, the building was designed to be above the flood water level.
The foul water drainage connected to the existing foul water sewers on the site.
